Oyebamiji Says Osun Will Return To APC Progressive Fold

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the August 15 Osun governorship election, Bola Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious at the polls, declaring that the people of the state are ready to return Osun to the progressive fold.

Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, made the declaration during a meeting with members of the Association of Mobile Telecommunication Engineers of Nigeria in Osun State.

According to a statement issued on Sunday by the Chairman of the Civic Engagement Committee of the APC Campaign Council, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, the APC candidate said history would be made in the state during the forthcoming governorship election.

Represented at the meeting by Oyintiloye, Oyebamiji said his administration would focus on economic growth, support for businesses and infrastructure development if elected governor.

He pledged to create opportunities for small and large-scale enterprises through funding support, capacity building and improved infrastructure.

The APC candidate also promised to support players in the telecommunications sector, describing mobile telecommunication as critical to economic and business development.

Oyebamiji said his development agenda, tagged “PROSPER,” would be fully implemented to improve the living conditions of residents across the state.

“History will be made on August 15 as I will be elected governor of the state. I am confident and hopeful in God and in you that it will be my day,” he said.

“History will also be made as Osun returns to the progressive path, and I count on you to make that happen.”

He urged residents to support his candidacy and disregard what he described as campaigns of calumny against him, insisting that his background and public service record reflect a commitment to humanity and development.

“Vote for me and let us make history together. Your support will be rewarded through good governance. I will not disappoint you,” he added.

Earlier, the President of AMTEN, Abdulrasaki Ejalonibu, assured the APC candidate of the support of members of the association in the election.

“We assure you of our votes. Trust us, we will not betray you—do not betray us as well,” he said.
