The founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu over the worsening security situation and economic hardship across the country.
Speaking in a video that has since gone viral on social media, the cleric accused the Federal Government of failing to take decisive action to tackle the growing wave of killings, kidnappings and violent attacks affecting communities across Nigeria.
Expressing concern over the continued loss of lives, Oyedepo warned that many Nigerians had reached their limit after enduring years of insecurity and economic challenges.
“The president needs to act now and stop pretending. You can’t slaughter members of my family and expect me to pray for you. I will pray against you and your household,” he said.
The cleric condemned the killing of innocent citizens and insisted that victims of violence should not be expected to sympathise with those responsible for such acts.
He also accused government officials of failing to demonstrate sufficient urgency in addressing the country’s security challenges.

“The government is pretending like they don’t know what to do. I have been quiet for a long time, but the bubble is about to burst,” he said.
Oyedepo’s comments come amid growing public concern over rising cases of banditry, kidnappings and attacks on communities in different parts of the country.
The Federal Government has repeatedly maintained that security agencies are intensifying efforts to combat criminal activities and restore peace across affected areas.
However, calls for stronger measures have continued to grow as religious leaders, civil society groups and ordinary citizens demand lasting solutions to the crisis.
