Nollywood actress and filmmaker Teniola Aladese has revealed that she is currently single, describing herself as someone who maintains a high level of discipline and clear standards when it comes to relationships.
The actress made the disclosure during an appearance on Pulse Nigeria’s Drink or Spill programme, where she spoke candidly about her personal life, career and experiences within the entertainment industry.
Responding to a question about her relationship status, Aladese admitted that although she goes on dates, she is not presently involved in a romantic relationship.
“I am trying my best, guys. I date, but currently I am not dating,” she said.
The actress also identified fellow Nollywood star Bisola Aiyeola as one of the most dramatic celebrities she knows, noting that she admires her vibrant personality.
“That will be Bisola Aiyeola because I love her. She is one of the most dramatic celebrities I have ever met. She is one of my favourite people in the world, and I love her for that,” she said.
Speaking further about relationships, Aladese described herself as strict but insisted that she considers it a healthy approach rather than an excessive one.
“I am strict when it comes to dating. I disagree. I think a healthy level of strictness,” she said.

The actress also admitted that one of her biggest shortcomings is her tendency to overanalyse situations, explaining that her love for communication often influences her outlook on relationships.
“My biggest red flag is probably that I am over analytical. I overanalyse a lot of things, which is why I like to communicate a lot,” she explained.
On the subject of acting, Aladese revealed that actor Uzor Arukwe was once her favourite co-star, but added that Taiye Arimoro currently tops her list.
“It used to be Uzor Arukwe; right now, I would say Taiye Arimoro,” she said.
Aladese has earned widespread recognition for her performances in several acclaimed Nigerian films and television productions, where she has established herself as one of Nollywood’s most versatile talents.
