Adamawa State governor and Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Convention Planning Committee, Ahmadu Fintiri, has confirmed that the party will hold its elective convention in Ibadan as scheduled.
Fintiri spoke with journalists on Thursday night, November 13, shortly after a key strategy meeting at the Bauchi State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro.
The gathering brought together several senior PDP figures, including Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, the PDP National Chairman, Umar Damagum, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and former Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Tanimu Turaki.

Emerging from the closed-door session, Fintiri described the discussions as productive, noting that major decisions had been reached.
“We’ve just come out of our critical stakeholders’ meeting where a lot of elaborate decisions were taken,” he said.
He added that the party was fully aligned on the next step toward its national gathering.
“I want to tell you here that we are going to Ibadan for our convention, and the convention is sacrosanct,” Fintiri stated.
