Troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA have sustained offensive operations under Operation Forest Sanity IV, neutralising three terrorists and recovering arms during clearance operations in parts of Zamfara State.
According to a post by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, the operation was conducted in the early hours of Wednesday, December 17.
It was gathered that the operation involved troops of the 8 Division, who advanced towards Gangara, Makawana, Satiru, Baici, and Kurkusu villages in Isa Local Government Area.
The post further disclosed that the troops later extended the operation to Batamna village in Shinkafi Local Government Area, where they encountered the terrorists.

During the encounter, three terrorists were neutralised, while three AK-47 rifles and one Baofeng communication radio were recovered from the scene.
However, troops have continued to maintain dominance in the general area to deny the terrorists freedom of action and prevent their regrouping.
The military reaffirmed the commitment of Operation FANSAN YANMA to sustain aggressive clearance operations, disrupt terrorist enclaves, and restore lasting peace across Zamfara and adjoining states.
