Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised two terrorists in an ambush at Shettimari general area of Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to intelligence sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, the operation, carried out under Operation Desert Sanity V, was executed by an ambush team in the early hours of Thursday.
It was gathered that the troops intercepted the terrorists around their crossing point at about 1:20 a.m.
The source noted that the soldiers immediately engaged the terrorists, neutralising two of them while others fled in different directions

According to the report, the troops later conducted an immediate exploitation of the area and recovered two RPG bombs and one magazine loaded with 23 rounds of 7.62mm x 39mm special ammunition.
The report further disclosed that there was no casualty on the side of the troops.
