The Police Service Commission has scheduled April 28 to 30, 2026, for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test for candidates taking part in the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.
The examination will be conducted simultaneously across the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory, following the conclusion of the nationwide physical and credentials screening exercise slated to end on April 18.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Sokoto State Police Command, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Rufa’i, described the upcoming CBT as a key stage in the recruitment process, noting that it will play a decisive role in selecting successful applicants.
Rufa’i explained that the duration of the test may vary across states depending on the number of candidates and the availability of functional Computer-Based Test centres.
According to him, while some states may complete the exercise within a single day, others could utilise the full three-day window to accommodate all eligible candidates.
He added that the arrangement was designed to remain flexible in order to reflect operational differences across states, while still ensuring that every qualified applicant is given a fair opportunity to participate.

He cautioned against misinformation, advising applicants to rely strictly on verified communication platforms for updates on the exercise.
The police noted that the recruitment process is part of ongoing efforts to boost manpower and enhance the operational effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force nationwide.
Authorities also provided a dedicated contact line for public enquiries regarding the exercise.
