The development comes at a time of heightened tension within her family, following a series of allegations and counterclaims involving her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and her brother, Sammy West.
Shortly after Regina’s announcement, Sammy West took to Instagram to post a cryptic message that appeared to be directed at critics of his sister’s achievements. He wrote:
“How do some of dem old folks that said shii!!! feel right now? Stupid? Yes! That’s the answer.”
