Religious Freedom: Tinubu Govt Covering Christian Killings — Perkins

Tony Perkins, a well-known American television host, has revealed that he refused a request from Nigerian First Lady, Remi Tinubu, to use his platform to downplay alleged attacks on Nigerian Christians.

In a video that went viral on Sunday night, Perkins disclosed that the First Lady had approached him to discuss religious freedom issues in Nigeria, but he declined her request.

He made the remarks while hosting US lawmaker Chris Smith on Washington Watch.

Perkins accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of attempting to conceal the killings of innocent Nigerian Christians.

According to the broadcaster, Remi Tinubu visited the studio with the intention to “come on the programme to talk about religious freedom, and I said, ‘I’m not gonna meet with them’.”

He further stated that he would never “give them a platform to cover up what they’re doing in Nigeria.”

Report indicate that, despite the Federal Government’s insistence that no genocide is taking place against any religion, some US lawmakers continue to assert that Christians in Nigeria are being specifically targeted.
