Former presidential aide and social commentator, Reno Omokri, has advised men to focus on building financial capacity rather than relying solely on romance to sustain relationships.
Omokri made the remarks in a video posted on his X handle on Tuesday, where he argued that financial security often carries more weight in relationships than romantic gestures.
“Even if you think you know how to make love, you can still lose a woman you love to a man who knows how to make money,” he said.
According to him, romance is accessible to women in various settings, whether at clubs or even churches, but financial stability remains scarce and highly valued.

He stressed that many women are not simply seeking companionship but support from men who can provide.
“Focus on your boardroom skills, not your bedroom skills,” Omokri urged, appealing to men to work harder and invest in their economic future.
His comments have sparked conversations online, with some agreeing that financial independence is crucial in relationships, while others criticised the view as overly materialistic.
