National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu on Sunday, December 7, announced that he received a United States Congressional delegation in Abuja as part of ongoing security consultations between both countries.
Ribadu, in a message posted on his X handle, said the lawmakers’ visit followed earlier discussions in Washington, DC, where both sides reviewed mutual security interests.
The visiting delegation was led by senior House members Mario Díaz-Balart, Norma Torres, Scott Franklin, Juan Ciscomani, and Riley Moore.
“This morning, I received a US Congressional delegation on a fact-finding mission to Nigeria, following our earlier engagements in Washington, DC, on shared security priorities,” he wrote.
