Former Senator Shehu Sani has condemned the Federal Government following reports that only N36 million was allocated to the health sector in the 2025 fiscal year.
Describing the situation as unfortunate and indicative of “unseriousness,” Sani, who represented Kaduna Central in the Senate, shared his views on Friday, the 13th of February, 2026, via his verified X account.
He stated that if it is indeed true that the health sector received just N36 million in 2025, it would reflect a clear lack of commitment to addressing the country’s critical healthcare needs.
Sani further called on the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, to provide a comprehensive explanation regarding the allocation.
