Soludo Pledges Second Term To God, Urges All To Back His Vision

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has dedicated his second term in office to God, describing both his first tenure and re-election as divinely orchestrated.

He made the remarks on Sunday during a thanksgiving service for his second-term inauguration at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Awka. Soludo said the ceremony was meant to entrust the next four years of his administration to God, emphasizing that his rise to governorship occurred at the right time according to divine will. He also expressed gratitude for the privilege of serving the people of the state.

“Exactly last week, we were at the International Convention Centre to thank God for the successful completion of four years in office. Today, the Sunday following the oath of office, we are here to thank God for a successful inauguration and to hand over the entire second tenure to God,” he said.

The governor stressed that Anambra remains in God’s hands and affirmed that his administration was appointed for the current moment to serve the populace. Drawing inspiration from the biblical story of Jesus and Lazarus, Soludo highlighted that God’s timing is always perfect and pledged that his government would continue to seek divine guidance.

Soludo also thanked the Presidency, the Federal Government, international partners, private sector actors, religious bodies, traditional rulers, community leaders, and youths for their continued support, urging sustained cooperation to consolidate achievements and advance the state.
