Terrorists Kill Two, Injure Three in Niger Community Attack

At least two people were killed and three others injured after terrorists attacked Dappo village in Tungan Wawa Ward, Kontagora Local Government Area of Niger State.

According to intelligence Sources quoted by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, on Friday, local vigilantes from nearby Utachu village initially engaged the assailants in a gun battle before troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA, Sub-Sector 1, arrived to reinforce the area.

The terrorists fled upon sighting the advancing soldiers, leaving behind casualties among the villagers.

Troops have since secured the community to forestall further attacks.
