President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma as the Renewed Hope Ambassador, according to a statement released by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
The appointment comes ahead of the national launch of the Federal Government’s Ward Development Programme.
The statement said Uzodimma will also serve as Director-General for Party Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation, working with All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership and governors to promote the party’s achievements and programmes nationwide.
APC governors will serve alongside him as Ambassadors of Hope.
As chair of the Progressive Governors Forum, Uzodimma is tasked with ensuring harmony, inclusiveness, and strategic coordination across the party, while mobilising citizens to engage with the administration’s initiatives.
The appointment is intended to highlight APC milestones since 2023 and reinforce the message of “Renewed Hope” across Nigeria.
According to the statement, President Tinubu’s reform agenda since taking office in May 2023 has delivered measurable economic gains.
Inflation eased for the seventh consecutive month to 16.05 per cent in October, the exchange rate stabilised, and foreign reserves rose to over $46 billion from $32 billion inherited in 2023.
