Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has again criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the country’s security situation following reports surrounding the killing of a teacher abducted during a school attack in Oyo State.
Sowore made the remarks in a statement posted on his official X handle on Wednesday, where he recalled warnings he claimed to have issued during the 2023 election campaign about the consequences of Tinubu’s administration.
“During the 2023 election season, I went on Agidigbo FM 88.7, warning Nigerians and particularly Yorubas about the disaster Bola Ahmed Tinubu would bring upon the country. Sadly, many refused to listen,” Sowore stated.
He further said, “I was also on Miliki 101.3FM in Lagos, saying the same thing, but callers kept phoning in telling me to shut up. Now look at what ‘Emilokan’ has done to you all. Tinubu is a disaster!”

The activist linked his criticism to reports of the killing of a mathematics teacher who was allegedly abducted during a bandit attack on a secondary school in Oyo State.
“NB: The photo here is reportedly that of the mathematics teacher pleading for his life after bandits raided a secondary school in Oyo State and abducted several others before later beheading him,” Sowore added.
The incident has sparked reactions online, with concerns continuing over insecurity and attacks on schools across parts of the country.
