President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived at Tafawa Balewa Square on Lagos Island today, Saturday, December 27, 2025, to attend the 2025 Lagos Eyo Festival procession, one of the city’s most prominent cultural events.
The Eyo Festival, also known as the Adamu Orisha Play, is a centuries-old Yoruba cultural celebration unique to Lagos.
It features a procession of white-clad Eyo masquerades, each group distinguished by specific coloured hats, accompanied by traditional music and dance.
The festival honours notable Lagos figures, including deceased kings, chiefs, and community leaders, while also serving as a major tourist attraction.
