President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will address the nation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 7 a.m. as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.
The announcement was made in a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, via his official X account on Tuesday.
According to the statement, all television and radio stations, along with other electronic media outlets, are enjoined to join the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for a live broadcast of the President’s Independence Day message.

The October 1 address is expected to highlight the administration’s achievements, ongoing reforms, and renewed commitments to national unity, security, and economic growth as Nigeria reflects on 65 years of independence.
