President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will visit Akwa Ibom and Rivers States on November 6 and 7, 2026, respectively, to inaugurate major infrastructure projects and attend All Progressives Congress (APC) rallies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu will begin the trip in Uyo, where he is expected to commission projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced the itinerary in a statement on Thursday, November 5.
The projects include the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village at Victor Attah International Airport.
Others are the Airport-Okopedi Road, linking communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas; Ring Road 3, connecting Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom; the AKWA-GIS Office Complex; the Command and Control Centre; and the ARISE Palm Resort.

Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day across the state to enable residents to participate in activities marking the presidential visit.
The visit comes months after Eno defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC in June 2025, strengthening the ruling party’s political presence in Akwa Ibom ahead of the 2027 elections.
Tinubu’s trip also marks his return to the state more than a decade after his November 27, 2014, visit as an APC leader.
The President will travel to Port Harcourt on Saturday, November 7, for an APC rally at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
The rally follows the party’s presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna on October 24 as it intensifies mobilisation for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
