Tinubu Urges Muslims To Turn Maulud Lessons Into National Action

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Muslim faithful to reflect the virtues of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) in their lives and commitment to Nigeria as they mark this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.

In a message issued on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Tinubu congratulated Muslims on the celebration and urged them to use the occasion for prayer, introspection and reflection on the Prophet’s teachings.

The message, signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, highlighted devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility and selflessness as enduring lessons from the Prophet’s life.

Tinubu also charged religious leaders to pray for Nigeria and encourage their followers to translate those values into greater commitment to the country.

He urged Muslims to extend support to the needy and vulnerable, while calling for prayers against insecurity and other challenges affecting parts of the country.

The President said the significance of Maulud should extend beyond its celebration, urging the faithful to make the Prophet’s teachings meaningful through their conduct and service to society.
