Tochukwu Nnadi Arrives In Marseille Ahead Of Medical

Nigerian midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi has arrived in Marseille, France, to undergo a medical examination as part of his imminent move to Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille.

Nnadi landed at Marseille Provence Airport on Monday, marking a key step toward finalising his transfer from Belgian side Zulte Waregem.

The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has been one of Zulte Waregem’s regular starters this season, making 18 league appearances and scoring once for the club since joining in January 2024 from Bulgarian side Botev Plovdiv.

Marseille are understood to have agreed a €6 million deal for Nandi, making him one of the club’s notable winter signings as they seek greater depth in midfield.

Nnadi’s rise in Europe has been steady. After beginning his professional career with Botev Plovdiv in Bulgaria, he moved to Zulte Waregem, where his performances in the Belgian Pro League helped put him on the radar of several top clubs.

The medical, scheduled for later on Monday, is expected to conclude the formalities before an official announcement by Marseille.

The club and player have yet to release a statement at the time of filing this report.
