Troops of the Nigerian Army have arrested a suspected terrorist logistics supplier and recovered a cache of explosive materials along the Gusau–Magami road in Zamfara State.
According to intelligence sources quoted by security analyst, Zagagola Magama on Saturday, the suspect was apprehended by troops of 1 Mechanised Infantry Regiment deployed in Gusau Local Government Area.
It was gathered that the suspect was intercepted while en route from Gobirawa Chali, allegedly to deliver explosive materials to terrorist elements operating in the area.
Items recovered from the suspect include 394 water gel explosives, five electric detonators (No. 33), one and a half rolls of detonating cord, and a mobile phone.

The suspect and the recovered items are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary action.
The military noted that the operation forms part of ongoing efforts by security forces to disrupt terrorist supply chains and prevent the movement of explosive materials within the North-West region.
