Joint security operatives under the Operation FANSAN YANMA have repelled an armed Bandits attack in Gida Soda Village, located in Katsina State, killing two suspected attackers and recovering a motorcycle used by the assailants.
Security sources disclosed on Wednesday that the incident occurred when armed bandits stormed the village in an apparent attempt to carry out criminal activities.
Troops, working in coordination with local police officers and Civil Watch Patrol Teams, reportedly responded swiftly to distress calls and engaged the attackers in a fierce gun battle.
The security operatives were said to have overpowered the criminals, forcing the remaining members of the group to flee into nearby bushes.
During the operation, two of the suspected bandits were neutralised, while a Boxer-brand motorcycle believed to belong to the group was recovered at the scene.

Security sources confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects and ensure the area remains secure to prevent further attacks.
