Two people were injured Sunday morning, January 11, 2026, when a mini truck carrying perishable goods overturned on the Third Mainland Bridge.
The incident occurred near the University of Lagos waterfront as motorists were heading toward the mainland, causing traffic delays.
Officials from the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said the truck has been recovered and efforts to transfer its cargo were ongoing to clear the bridge.

Traffic personnel and police officers remained on site directing vehicles and managing congestion, while emergency responders monitored the condition of the injured.
