Uche Montana Unveils 2025 Range Rover as Nollywood Pay Debate Rages

Actress Uche Montana has taken delivery of a brand-new 2025 Range Rover, reigniting discussions on Nollywood earnings and lifestyle choices.

Montana posted a video of the luxury SUV being delivered in Lagos on Friday, September 12, with the caption “2025 in 2025.”

The purchase comes less than a year after she showed off a 2024 model, underscoring her taste for high-end vehicles.

Her unveiling coincided with comments made the same day by veteran actor Yemi Solade.

As earlier reported by First Daily, Solade spoke on the Honest Bunch Podcast, where he argued that no Nollywood actress could afford a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon solely from acting fees.

He maintained that the industry’s pay structure does not support such acquisitions, pointing instead to side businesses, endorsements, production work, or gifts as possible sources.

Montana did not directly respond to Solade’s remark, but her latest car announcement has fuelled fresh debate among fans and industry observers.

While many congratulated her on the new purchase, others revived questions about the financial realities of Nollywood and how much actors truly earn from film roles.

The development highlights a recurring theme in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

The contrast between the modest revenue most practitioners admit to earning and the public display of luxury associated with its stars.
