The Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has said that the re-election of Governor Biodun Oyebanji reflects the quality of leadership and performance recorded under his administration.
Uzodimma made the remark following the declaration of Oyebanji’s victory in the Ekiti State governorship election, where the incumbent secured 319,224 votes on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defeating candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) across all 16 local government areas of the state.
APC supporters and residents later took to the streets of Ado Ekiti in celebration after the results were officially announced.
Speaking with journalists at the Ekiti State Government House on Sunday, Uzodimma praised the outcome as a reflection of public trust in the governor’s leadership.
“As a party, we are delighted. We congratulate Governor Biodun Oyebanji on this remarkable victory and on the excellent performance he has delivered in Ekiti State.
We also congratulate the national leader of our great party, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the leadership of the APC at all levels,” he said.

He added that the strong voter turnout and overwhelming support demonstrated confidence in Oyebanji’s administration.
“The massive turnout of our supporters in Ekiti State and their overwhelming support for our governor is a clear demonstration of confidence in his leadership and performance,” he said.
Uzodimma further stated that the election outcome proved that effective governance earns public approval.
“We are happy as a party. We are happy as progressive governors. We are proud that one of our own has demonstrated that good governance yields positive results,” he stated.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his ongoing development efforts, noting that Nigerians continue to show understanding despite economic challenges.
“We commend the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, whose policies are increasingly being appreciated across the country. Our democracy is growing steadily.
Achievements are being recorded, the economy is becoming stronger, and our politics is becoming more sustainable. For all these, we give glory to Almighty God,” he said.
Uzodimma also expressed optimism that continued cooperation among Nigerians would further strengthen national development under the APC-led administration.
