Victor Moses Joins Kazakhstan Club FC Kaysar Kyzylorda On Free Transfer

Former Super Eagles star Victor Moses has taken his talents to the Kazakhstan Premier League, joining FC Kaysar Kyzylorda on a free transfer.

The 35-year-old winger has signed a one-year deal with the club, which has struggled in recent seasons and is aiming to make a stronger impact in the league.

Moses, known for his versatility and decorated career across Europe, has been handed his favourite jersey number 11.

He becomes only the third foreign player in Kaysar’s squad, signaling the club’s intent to blend experience with local talent ahead of the new season, which kicks off in March.

In a post on its official Instagram account, Kaysar welcomed Moses, describing him as “experienced” and highlighting the impact his presence could have both on and off the pitch. “Victor Moses is a football player with a high level of experience, having played for a number of European giants,” the club said. “His joining Kaysar is clear proof of the team’s ambitions for the upcoming season. The management and coaching staff believe that Victor’s experience and skills will positively influence the development of the team and the growth of young players.”

Fans got their first glimpse of Moses at Kaysar’s 7,500-capacity stadium during his unveiling, with the winger expected to bring leadership and mentorship to a squad battling to climb the league table.

Moses’ journey to Kazakhstan follows a spell without a club after leaving Luton Town in May last year. Prior to that, he spent three years at Spartak Moscow, following a successful Chelsea career that saw him win multiple trophies.

Over his career, the Nigerian international has featured in four countries, scoring 62 goals and providing 47 assists in 495 professional appearances.

For Kaysar, the arrival of a player of Moses’ stature represents more than just a signing—it’s a statement of intent as the club seeks to challenge its perennial relegation struggles and inspire the next generation of players.
