The Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has called on leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi State to reconcile with aggrieved members and reopen the party’s doors to returning defectors.
She made the appeal on Saturday during the party’s State Executive Committee meeting in Lokoja, emphasising that unity is essential for the party’s prospects ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Akpoti-Uduaghan urged party executives to prioritise inclusivity, noting that rebuilding internal cohesion would strengthen the PDP’s competitiveness.
“I plead with our party executives to open the doors wide for those who wish to return. The strength of our party lies in our unity, and this is the time to bring everyone back home,” she said.

“This is not just an exercise — it is the foundation upon which we rebuild and strengthen our party for the future,” she added.
She further called for early preparations for the next electoral cycle, stressing that electoral success would depend on organisation, unity, and commitment.
“Victory is not accidental; it is built on preparation, unity, and determination,” she said.
Akpoti-Uduaghan reaffirmed her commitment to strengthening the PDP in Kogi State, highlighting the importance of grassroots mobilisation, youth inclusion, and increased participation of women in politics.
