Anthony Joshua Memorialises Late Friends With Tattoos

British-Nigerian heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua has paid a moving tribute to two members of his inner circle by tattooing their names on his arm, weeks after they lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Nigeria.

Joshua honoured Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele—both key figures in his training team—by permanently inscribing their names on his skin.

The emotional gesture was revealed on Thursday by London tattoo studio Fulham Tattoo, which shared photos of the artwork on Instagram.

According to the studio, the former two-time world champion arrived unexpectedly for his first-ever visit.

“Huge thank you to Anthony Joshua for unannounced walking through the door a few weeks ago for his first visit with us… what a walk-in,” the studio wrote.

Ghami and Ayodele died in December after the Lexus SUV conveying Joshua collided with a stationary truck along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.

Joshua, who was also in the vehicle, survived the crash and was hospitalised before later returning to the United Kingdom.

The boxer subsequently attended the funerals of Ghami—his strength and conditioning coach—and Ayodele, one of his trainers.

The fatal accident, which occurred on December 29, sparked an outpouring of grief across the boxing world and among fans in Nigeria and abroad, with tributes flooding social media for the fallen members of Joshua’s team.

Joshua’s tattoos now stand as a lasting personal memorial to two men widely regarded as instrumental to his career and personal journey.
