The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has released its timetable for the conduct of primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections, detailing key dates for the sale of forms, screening of aspirants, primaries, and resolution of disputes.
The timetable, approved by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), was announced in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ejimofor Opara.
The party said the schedule is in line with the electoral timetable issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to the timetable, the sale and submission of expression of interest forms will run from Monday, April 20, 2026, to Friday, May 8, 2026.
Screening of aspirants will be conducted in phases. National Assembly aspirants are scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2026, while aspirants for State House of Assembly seats will be screened on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Governorship aspirants are expected to undergo screening on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The party stated that only aspirants who obtain expression of interest forms and successfully scale the screening exercise will proceed to purchase nomination forms.
Sale and submission of nomination forms will take place from Thursday, May 14, 2026, to Thursday, May 21, 2026.
APGA fixed the cost of expression of interest forms at N25 million for presidential aspirants, N6 million for Senate, N4 million for House of Representatives, N10 million for governorship, and N2 million for State House of Assembly aspirants.
All primary elections are scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2026, and will be conducted using the Option A4 voting system.
The party added that petitions and complaints arising from the primaries will be reviewed and resolved on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
