A Federal Capital Territory High Court sitting in Apo has issued an arrest warrant for Sadiya Umar Farouq, former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
The court also ordered the arrest of Bashir Nura Alkali, a Permanent Secretary in the same ministry.
Presiding judge, Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie, granted the order following an application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after both defendants failed to appear in court for their scheduled arraignment on Thursday, April 16.
