MAfrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has advised aspiring musicians to remain committed to God even after attaining fame and success, warning that the entertainment industry is filled with distractions capable of derailing their purpose.
The award-winning singer gave the advice during a recent interview with Kiss Xtra, where he reflected on his journey to stardom and shared words of encouragement for the next generation of artistes.
Davido urged upcoming musicians to believe in themselves, remain dedicated to improving their craft and never lose sight of the passion that inspired their careers.
“My advice for up-and-coming artistes is, first of all, believe in yourself. I worked on my craft so much. I loved music so much that I just wanted to get better every time. When I was young, I was learning from YouTube and the people around me,” he said.
The singer also stressed the importance of keeping God at the centre of one’s life and career, particularly after achieving success.
“Secondly, love what you do and put God first and close, especially when you make it because there are so many distractions that can make you forget He is the reason you are here,” David’s added.
His remarks come as more Nigerian artistes continue to share personal reflections on faith, perseverance and the challenges that accompany fame in the entertainment industry.
