The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukoyede, has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Nigeria, urging them to carry forward the lessons of Ramadan into their daily lives.
Speaking from Abuja on Friday, Olukoyede lauded the faithful for their steadfast devotion and discipline during the month-long fast, highlighting the spiritual and moral values cultivated over the period.
He encouraged Muslims to maintain the principles of self-discipline, self-denial, purity, sacrifice, and anti-corruption beyond the fasting season.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, let us continue to reverence the values of discipline, self-denial, purity, anti-corruption, and commitment to higher ideals of life which the Ramadan season truly imbued in us,” Olukoyede said.

The EFCC chairman emphasized that these virtues are critical not only for personal growth but also for national development.

“The best of us is what is good for the best of our nation. We will together make Nigeria better and corruption-free,” he added.
Eid-el-Fitr, which marks the conclusion of Ramadan, serves as a time for reflection on spiritual discipline, moral conduct, and community values—principles that the EFCC boss said should guide Nigerians in fostering a transparent and accountable society.
