A prominent figure in the African Democratic Congress, Dele Momodu, has taken aim at Reno Omokri and Femi Fani-Kayode, branding them as “perpetual agents of perfidy” and questioning their credibility.
In a statement shared via his X account on Wednesday, the 18th of March, 2026, titled ‘Reno Omokri & Femi Fani-Kayode: A Tale of Two Shameless Friends’, Momodu reacted to criticisms from both men over his comments on the administration of Bola Tinubu.
He explained that he had initially chosen not to respond but later decided against remaining silent, saying he would not allow himself to be “bullied into silence and submission”.
“They both have no credibility whatsoever,” he said, insisting that both individuals had made past remarks about the President that continue to undermine their present stance.
Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, also rejected allegations that his comments about Tinubu were unfounded.
“I have never disparaged Tinubu in my life. I have never called him a murderer. I’m intelligent enough not to say what I have no proof of,” he stated.
He clarified that his criticism of the President is limited to governance style, which he described as authoritarian.

“All I have accused Tinubu of is dictatorship and I stand by it with my full chest,” he said, linking his position to Nigeria’s experience under military rule.
Momodu further disclosed that he had previously moderated his tone out of respect for senior political figures and long-standing relationships.
He also alleged that both Omokri and Fani-Kayode had, at different times, privately contacted him seeking support or reconciliation, despite their public criticisms.
“How Femi and Reno can continue to harass people on behalf of a Tinubu they’ve permanently damaged baffles me,” he added.
