NASS Leaders Laud Tinubu At 74, Reaffirm Support For Reform Agenda

President Bola Tinubu received strong backing from the leadership of the National Assembly on Sunday, March 29, as he marked his 74th birthday, with lawmakers reaffirming support for his administration’s reform agenda.

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, described Tinubu as a bold and visionary leader committed to repositioning the country through decisive policies.

In a personally signed message, he said the administration’s economic reforms, though challenging, were beginning to yield results, and pledged sustained collaboration between the legislature and the executive to deliver lasting national impact.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, in a statement by his media aide, portrayed the President as a pro-democracy advocate and seasoned administrator whose leadership has driven structural reforms.

He highlighted progress in revenue mobilisation, transparency, infrastructure and security coordination under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu, said Tinubu’s policies were shaping Nigeria’s development trajectory, expressing confidence that ongoing economic initiatives would deliver long-term benefits. He also wished the President good health and wisdom.

Similarly, Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, commended Tinubu’s leadership since he assumed office on Wednesday, May 29, 2023, noting efforts to stabilise the economy and position the country for growth.

In a statement issued in Abuja, Jibrin prayed for the President’s longevity and urged Nigerians to sustain their support for the administration.

The messages underscore continued legislative backing for the President’s policies as he marks another year in office.
