Police Nab Three Kidnap Suspects, Rescue Victims In Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers linked to an abduction incident captured on CCTV in the Oda area of Akure.

Police spokesperson Abayomi Jimoh disclosed on Sunday that the suspects were apprehended following a swift intelligence-driven operation, which also led to the rescue of three victims.

According to the Command, the breakthrough came after CCTV footage of the abduction surfaced online, prompting an immediate response from security operatives.

Authorities said they deployed digital surveillance tools alongside coordinated field operations to track down those involved.

Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad subsequently arrested one of the suspects, whose interrogation yielded critical information that led to the capture of two additional accomplices.

Police identified the suspects as Mohammed Koro, Muhammad Usman, and Musa Alhaji, noting that preliminary findings indicate each played distinct roles in carrying out the crime.

“The arrests were made based on credible intelligence and investigative leads derived from the footage,” the statement said, adding that all three individuals were clearly identified in the CCTV recording.

The Command assured residents that investigations are ongoing and reiterated its commitment to tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities across the state.
