Nigerian music promoter Sam Larry is receiving treatment after a road accident in Lagos that reportedly claimed the life of one of his security aides.
The crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday, July 4, 2026, along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway when the vehicle conveying the promoter reportedly rammed into a trailer.
The impact left the vehicle badly damaged. Sam Larry was rescued and taken to hospital, while his security aide, popularly known as his bouncer, reportedly died at the scene.

Videos and photographs from the crash site later surfaced online, drawing widespread attention. Comedian and event host Mario Wazobia also disclosed the incident on social media, saying the promoter survived the crash but lost a member of his security team.
As of Sunday, July 5, 2026, neither Sam Larry nor his management had issued a statement on his condition. The Lagos State Police Command had also not released an official report on the crash or the reported fatality.
