Tinubu Meets China’s Envoy: Diplomacy Heats Up

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Yu Dunhai, at the State House on Friday, the 5th of December, 2025, Accompanying the Ambassador was Mr. Zhu Songbo, a senior official from the Chinese embassy.

This diplomatic engagement was confirmed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, who made the announcement on his X page.

While the specifics of the discussions were “not immediately made public,” the meeting aligns with the President’s broader foreign policy vision. In recent statements, “President Tinubu has repeatedly emphasized Nigeria’s commitment to building strong international partnerships to advance the country’s development objectives.”
