Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has celebrated his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, following his victory in the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
Davido expressed his excitement moments after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared Adeleke the winner of Saturday’s election.
The singer, who was watching the announcement on television from his living room, celebrated the victory by lying on the floor in excitement on Sunday.
“We did it uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke,” Davido exclaimed as he celebrated the outcome of the election.

The declaration marked another electoral victory for the incumbent governor, who defeated his closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
Davido’s celebration quickly drew attention online, with supporters and fans reacting to the emotional moment shared by the singer as he celebrated his uncle’s return to office.
The singer has openly supported Adeleke, who is a member of the Adeleke family, throughout his political journey.
