Zamfara Gov Boosts Troop Morale with N160m Year-End Package

The Zamfara State Government has donated ₦160 million to security and law enforcement agencies in the state in appreciation of their efforts in safeguarding lives and property.

Governor Dauda Lawal made the donation on Tuesday during an end-of-year tour to security formations across the state. He was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Abubakar Nakwada.

According to the governor, the visit — the first of its kind in Zamfara — was aimed at recognising the dedication, sacrifices and resilience of security personnel in the fight against insecurity. He said the gesture was also intended to boost the morale of officers and strengthen collaboration between the state government and federal security agencies.

“To further demonstrate the state government’s appreciation, we distributed ₦160 million across the agencies as an end-of-year solidarity package to enable them celebrate the yuletide with ease,” Lawal said.

The governor conveyed the gratitude of the government and people of Zamfara to security operatives deployed across the state and urged them to sustain efforts toward addressing the prevailing security challenges. He assured them of the state government’s continued support to enhance effective service delivery.
