Bauchi Governor Sacks Internal Security Commissioner

Bauchi State Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has dismissed the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, with immediate effect, the governor’s office confirmed on Monday, February 9, 2026.

The removal forms part of a minor cabinet reshuffle designed to strengthen the executive council and improve governance across the state.

A successor for the internal security portfolio is expected to be announced in the coming days.

 Governor Mohammed thanked Galadima for his service, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to maintaining peace, enhancing security, and delivering efficient public services to residents.

The reshuffle underscores the governor’s policy of periodically reviewing his leadership team to inject fresh ideas and reinforce effective administration.
