The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has opened a one-time window for candidates who have lost access to the phone numbers or email addresses linked to their profiles to update the details.
The facility, which commenced on Monday, September 21, 2026, is available only at designated JAMB Computer-Based Test centres and applicable State Offices.
Eligible candidates may replace their registered GSM number, email address or both, subject to strict identity and biometric verification.
Applicants are required to provide their new contact details and a duly executed court affidavit, scanned and uploaded during the application process.
Candidates must initiate the request through their JAMB e-Facility profiles by selecting the SIM Swap/eMail Change option and completing the prescribed payment before visiting an approved centre for biometric verification.

JAMB said each candidate could access the facility only once and advised applicants to ensure that replacement details remain accessible.
The board also warned against unauthorised agents and directed candidates to use only approved centres.
The policy review follows earlier measures introduced by JAMB to assist candidates who lost access to registered contact details. In January 2025, the board announced assistance for candidates who had lost their SIM cards but said SIM swapping was not available at the time.
JAMB later introduced a Profiled Email service through accredited CBT centres, enabling affected candidates to authenticate and link new email addresses to their profiles.
The latest arrangement extends that assistance by permitting eligible candidates to formally replace their registered phone numbers, email addresses or both, while retaining biometric safeguards.
The board said the initiative was part of its JCARE and JAMB Updates programmes.
