Kwankwaso Meets Aregbesola Amid ADC Defection Talks

The 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, on Thursday, the 26th of March, 2026, met with African Democratic Congress National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, as talks over his planned move to the party continue.

The meeting is part of ongoing consultations between Kwankwaso and the ADC leadership ahead of his expected defection.

After meeting Aregbesola, Kwankwaso also received ADC leaders from Kano at his Abuja residence, where further discussions were held.

The development comes days after he hosted former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, and Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Sunday, the 22nd of March.

Kwankwaso also disclosed in a post on his official Facebook page that Senator Seriake Dickson, representing Bayelsa West Senatorial District, had visited his residence in Kano.
