Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has become one of the first members of Nigeria’s 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations-winning squad to receive the documents for the house promised by the Federal Government following the team’s historic triumph.
The presentation was announced on Monday by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) through its official X account.
During the presentation, NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau handed the property documents to the goalkeeper in the presence of the federation’s Director of Competitions, Ruth David.
Sharing photos from the event, the federation stated that the documents represented the housing reward promised by the Federal Government after the Super Falcons secured the continental title.
The NFF, however, did not immediately confirm whether the remaining members of the championship-winning squad had also received their housing documents.
Nigeria clinched a record-extending 10th WAFCON title after staging a dramatic comeback from two goals down to defeat hosts Morocco 3-2 in the final.

Following the victory, President Bola Tinubu announced a reward package of $100,000 for each player, $50,000 for every member of the technical crew and backroom staff, as well as a house for every member of the victorious team.
Although the promises were made shortly after the championship success, the housing documents had not been publicly presented until Monday, while the players had also remained silent on the receipt of their cash rewards.
Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko, recently explained that the presentation was intentionally scheduled to coincide with the team’s gathering ahead of the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco.
According to Dikko, the timing was designed to motivate the players as they begin the defence of their African title.
He also disclosed that the $100,000 cash reward promised to each player had already been paid into their respective bank accounts after the completion of the required administrative procedures.
The Super Falcons begin their 2026 WAFCON campaign against Malawi on Tuesday in Morocco. The nine-time African champions will then face Zambia on August 1 before rounding off their Group C fixtures against Egypt four days later.
The tournament, scheduled to run from July 26 to August 16, also serves as Africa’s qualification pathway for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, with four semi-finalists earning automatic qualification while another team will compete in the intercontinental play-offs.
