Oseni Rufai Raises Alarm as Bandits Abduct Eleven in Kwara

Journalist and broadcaster Oseni Rufai has drawn national attention to yet another violent attack in Kwara State, after bandits reportedly stormed Isapa community in Ekiti Local Government Area and abducted 11 residents.

Rufai shared details of the incident on his X handle on Tuesday, amplifying public outrage over worsening insecurity.

According to accounts from the community, more than 20 armed men invaded the area on Monday, arriving with a large herd of cattle and firing shots to disperse residents. Amid the chaos, an elderly woman was struck by a stray bullet, though her current condition remains uncertain.

Local sources, who spoke anonymously for fear of retaliation, confirmed that seven of the abducted victims are from the same family. Those taken include a pregnant woman, two nursing mothers, and several young children — a development that has deepened anxiety across the village.
